HOUSE BILL 1158

AN ACT AMENDING G.S. 65-36 AND G.S. 58-228 RELATING TO THE FUNDS ASSESSED PERPETUAL CARE CEMETERIES AND MUTUAL BURIAL ASSOCIATIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE OFFICE OF THE STATE BURIAL COMMISSIONER.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1.  G.S. 65-36, as the same appears in the 1967 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 2C of the General Statutes, is amended by striking "fourteen thousand dollars ($14,000).", in line 10 thereof, and by inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "seventeen thousand dollars ($17,000)".

Sec. 2.  G.S. 58-228, as the same appears in the 1967 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 2B of the General Statutes, is amended by striking "fifty-six thousand dollars ($56,000).", in lines 8 and 9 thereof, and by inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "sixty-eight thousand dollars ($68,000)".

Sec. 3.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4.  This Act shall become effective July 1, 1969.
