SENATE BILL 598
AN ACT TO CLARIFY THE APPLICATION OF THE STATUTES REGARDING CONFISCATION OF DEADLY WEAPONS IN CERTAIN COUNTIES.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. Sec. 2 1/2 of Chapter 954 of the 1965 Session Laws, as amended by Chapter 301 of the 1969 Session Laws, same being the list of counties (Cumberland, Halifax, Harnett, Pamlico, Perquimans, Rockingham, Scotland and Warren) to which G.S. 14-269.1 shall not apply, as same shall be amended from time to time by the addition or deletion of counties is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following: "The provisions of G.S. 14-269(b) prior to amendment by this Act shall be effective as to these counties".
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon ratification.
