AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER 146 OF THE PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF 1941 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE MEMBERS OT THE UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF GREENVILLE MAY FIX THEIR SALARIES, SUBJECT TO DESIGNATED LIMITS.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. Section 2 of Chapter 146 of the Public Local Laws of 1941 is hereby amended by striking the third sentence of said section relating to the compensation of members of the Utilities Commission of the City of Greenville, and by substituting in lieu thereof the following sentence: "The members of the Utilities Commission are authorized to fix their own salaries, but not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) per month for the members and one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per month for the chairman."
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall be effective from and after its ratification.
