HOUSE BILL 755
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF OXFORD TO CONVEY CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF GRANVILLE COUNTY.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of G.S. 160-59, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Oxford is hereby authorized and empowered to transfer and convey by warranty deed, with or without consideration, either at public or at private sale, to the Board of Education of the County of Granville the following described real property:
BEGINNING at a point in the northeasterly line of Bell Street at the southwest corner of land described as the tenth tract in deed dated June 30, 1903, from Benehan Cameron and Sallie Mayo Cameron, his wife, to the Oxford and Coast Line Railroad Company, recorded in Deed Book 56, page 462, public records of said Granville County; running thence northeastwardly, at right angles to the northeasterly line of Bell Street, 139 feet; thence northwestwardly, parallel with said northeasterly line of Bell Street, 146 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of land described as the fourth tract in said deed dated June 30, 1903; thence southwestwardly along the northwesterly line of land described as the fourth tract in said deed dated June 30, 1903, 139 feet to a point in the northeasterly line of Bell Street; thence southeastwardly along the northeasterly line of Bell Street, 148 feet to the point of beginning; being a portion of said land acquired by said deed dated June 30, 1903.
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall be effective upon its ratification.
