SENATE BILL 600

AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 6-21.1, SO AS TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE JUDGMENT IN WHICH ATTORNEY FEES MAY BE ALLOWED.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1.  G.S. 6-21.1, as it appears in the 1967 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 1B of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by deleting the words and figures "one thousand dollars ($1,000)" and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "two thousand dollars ($2,000)."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 11th day of June, 1969.
