HOUSE BILL 967

AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 41-2.1, RELATING TO RIGHT OF SURVIVORSHIP IN BANK DEPOSITS.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1.  G.S. 41-2.1 (b)(4) is hereby amended by adding immediately following the words "of the deceased," in line three the words "or to the clerk of the superior court if the amount is less than one thousand dollars ($l,000.00) in accordance with G.S. 28-68,".

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
