SENATE BILL 499

AN ACT to clarify that it is the duty of the department of agriculture and consumer services to administer and supervise the agricultural development and farmland preservation enabling act.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 106-735 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:

"(c) This Article shall be administered and supervised by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 16^th day of June, 2011.
