HOUSE BILL 954

AN ACT to establish a one‑year term of the chair of the rockingham county board of education.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  S.L. 2015‑38 is amended by adding a new part to read:

"PART IIIA. ELECTION OF CHAIR

"SECTION 3A.  Beginning with the meeting held on the first Monday in December of 2018, the members of the Rockingham County Board of Education shall elect one of the members of the Board as chair for a term of one year or until the successor is elected and qualified."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
