H97 - 2015 Appropriations Act, Sec. 12A.8: Competitive Grants/Nonprofit Organizations (SL 2015-241)

Overview: Sec. 12A.8 of S.L. 2015-241 requires the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Central Management and Support to use certain Social Services Block Grant funds to allocate funds for nonprofit organizations. In addition, this section directs the Secretary of DHHS to announce the recipients of the competitive grant awards no later than July 1 of each year and submit a report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services on the grant awards. No later than December 1 of each year each nonprofit must submit to the Division of Central Management and Support a written report of all activities funded by State appropriations.

This section became effective July 1, 2015.
