H97 - 2015 Appropriations Act, Sec. 27.4: Dorothea Dix Memorial (SL 2015-241)

Overview: Sec. 27.4 of S.L. 2015-241 directs the Department of Administration, in consultation with the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, to appoint a task force to acquire items of historical value relating to Dorothea Lynde Dix and mental health efforts in the State and to propose options for a building or space on the Dorothea Dix campus to memorialize, honor, and educate the public about advocacy for and innovations in treatment for the mentally ill. The Department must submit its proposed options to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services by April 1, 2016.
