H691 - Assault on National Guard Member (SL 2015-74)

Overview: S.L. 2015-74 makes it a felony to commit the following types of assaults on a member of the North Carolina National Guard who is discharging or attempting to discharge official duties: (i) assault inflicting serious bodily injury; (ii) assault inflicting physical injury; (iii) assault with a firearm.

This act became effective December 1, 2015, and applies to offenses committed on or after that date.
