H1030 - 2016 Appropriations Act. (SL 2016-94)

Overview: Sec. 14.18 of S.L. 2016-94 provides that of the funds appropriated to the Division of Marine Fisheries of the Department of Environmental Quality for the 2016-2017 fiscal year, $100,000, nonrecurring, will be used for a pilot program for the removal of derelict crab pots in State waters. The pilot program will be administered by North Carolina Sea Grant at North Carolina State University. Sea Grant must report on the performance of the pilot program to the chairs of the Joint Oversight Committee on Agriculture and Natural and Economic Resources and the Fiscal Research Division on or before May 1, 2017.
