H1030 - 2016 Appropriations Act. (SL 2016-94)

Overview: Sec. 12F.9 of S.L. 2016-94 expands the use of funds appropriated to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in the 2015 Appropriations Act to purchase additional new or existing inpatient psychiatric beds or bed days not currently funded by or through LME/MCOs. This section authorizes DHHS to use up to 10% of the funds allocated for the 2016-2017 fiscal year for the State's three-way contracts to pay for facility-based crisis services and non-hospital detoxification services for individuals in need of those services regardless of whether the individuals are medically indigent.

This section became effective July 1, 2016.
