S257 - Appropriations Act of 2017. (SL 2017-57)

Overview: Sec. 11A.9. of S.L. 2017-57 requires the Office of Rural Health to combine loan repayment programs for physicians, psychiatrists, and those working at state facilities. The funds may be used to: (1) continue funding the State Loan Repayment Program for primary care providers, (2) expand State incentives for general surgeons in Critical Access Hospitals, and (3) include eligible providers who use telemedicine in rural and underserved areas.
