S257 - Appropriations Act of 2017. (SL 2017-57)

Overview: Sec. 11A.11 of S.L. 2017-57 (SB 257) prohibits the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) from using any funds appropriated for the Office of Program Evaluation Reporting and Accountability (OPERA) for any purpose other than to establish and administer the OPERA. This section also requires DHHS to report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services by December 1, 2017, on the establishment of the OPERA, including expenditures for the 2015-2016 fiscal year, steps taken to establish the OPERA, an organizational chart, a list of current and ongoing assessments and evaluations, and an explanation of any obstacles to establishing and operating the OPERA as required by law.

This section became effective July 1, 2017.
