S257 - Appropriations Act of 2017. (SL 2017-57)

Overview: Sec. 11F.4 of S.L. 2017-57 amends language pertaining to the use of funds for the purchase of inpatient alcohol and substance abuse treatment services from the 2015 budget to require that a minimum of 86% of the allotted funds be used exclusively to purchase inpatient alcohol and substance abuse treatment services from the Alcohol Drug Abuse Treatment Centers (ADATCs) in order to increase the availability of services through the ADATCs to individuals in need of opioid treatment. The LME/MCOs are required to use any remaining allocations to purchase inpatient alcohol and substance abuse treatment services from any qualified provider.
