S257 - Appropriations Act of 2017. (SL 2017-57)

Overview: Section 34.13 of S.L. 2017-57 encourages the Department of Transportation (DOT) to increase its outsourcing of preconstruction activities; requires DOT to provide a biannual Outsourcing Report and an annual Project Delivery report to the General Assembly; and requires DOT to consult with the General Assembly if DOT fails to meet specified preconstruction outsourcing targets, or if specified numbers of project stages are delayed.

This section became effective July 1, 2017.
