S257 - Appropriations Act of 2017. (SL 2017-57)

Overview: Section 34.24 of S.L. 2017-57 requires the Rail Division of the Department of Transportation to submit a report to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee prior to entering into any contract with a duration of five years or more and a cost to the State of $1,500,000 or more. The report must identify the duration, total cost, parties, and other relevant terms of the proposed contract.

This section became effective July 1, 2017, and applies to contracts entered into on or after that date. This section expires June 30, 2022.
