S257 - Appropriations Act of 2017. (SL 2017-57)

Overview: Section 17.1 of S.L. 2017-57 prohibits the Department of Justice from hiring sworn personnel to fill vacant positions in the North Carolina State Crime Laboratory. This provision does not affect sworn personnel already employed by the Laboratory on the effective date of this section.

This section became effective July 1, 2017.
