S257 - Appropriations Act of 2017. (SL 2017-57)

Overview: S.L. 2017-57, Sec. 7.28, as amended by S.L. 2017-189, Sec. 6.(q), requires the State Board of Education to reimburse the initial teacher licensure application fee for any new graduate from any recognized educator preparation program the first time an applicant submits an application for teacher licensure, if the initial teaching license has been successfully earned.

This section became effective July 1, 2017 and applies to applications for licensure received on or after July 1, 2017.
