Overview: S.L. 2017-175 explicitly identifies records in the possession of The University of North Carolina or any of its constituent institutions as public records if they are related to membership in or communication with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), or any other athletic conference or collegiate sports organization. This act became effective October 1, 2017.
