S335 - Budget Technical Corrections & Study. (SL 2018-97)

Overview: Sec. 3.11 of S.L. 2018-97 adds a new Sec. 11H.9A to the 2018 Appropriations Act, S.L. 2018-5, requiring the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), in conjunction with stakeholders, to develop a plan for increased utilization of 1915(b)(3) services and "in-lieu-of" services for group home residents. The plan must include standardized processes, methodologies, service definitions, and rates of reimbursement for the services. DHHS must provide a report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Medicaid and NC Health Choice and the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services by January 7, 2019, containing the plan and details about cost, funding, and other needs for implementation of the plan.
