Overview: Sec. 11B.3 of S.L. 2018-5 amends S.L. 2017-57, Sec. 11B.4 to add new language requiring the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Child Development and Early Education (Division) to increase the child care subsidy market rates for children three to five years of age in three, four and five star rated child care centers and homes in tier three counties. New language is also added to require that as of October 1, 2018, the Division must increase child care subsidy market rates for children birth through five years of age in three, four and five star rated child care centers and homes in tier one and tier two counties.
This section became effective July 1, 2018.
