S99 - Appropriations Act of 2018. (SL 2018-5)

Overview: Sec. 19.1 of S.L. 2018-5 authorizes the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) to apply for federal funds for future improvements to Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery and limits the amount applied for to a sum not requiring a State match that exceeds the excess cash balance in a specified DMVA fund and requires DMVA to submit a report by November 1, 2018, to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on General Government providing the details of any improvement projects and federal grant requests, including match requirements and a time line for project development and completion.

This act was vetoed by the Governor on June 6, 2018, and that veto was overridden by the General Assembly on June 12, 2018. This section became effective on July 1, 2018.
