S9 - Female Genital Mutilation/Clarify Prohibition. (SL 2019-183)

Overview: S.L. 2019-18 specifically prohibits genital mutilation of a female child; consenting to the genital mutilation of a female child; and removing a child from North Carolina for the purpose of female genital mutilation.

This act became effective October 1, 2019, and applies to offenses committed on or after that date.
