S681 - Agency Policy Directives/2019-2020. (SL 2020-78)

Overview: Section 13.1 of S.L. 2020-78 amends the law on award recommendation for contracts (G.S. 143-52.1) to change the benchmark amount that triggers the State Procurement Officer monthly report. The new benchmark must not be greater than $100,000 (as provided in G.S. 143-53.1) for State departments, institutions, and agencies, except the President of The University of North Carolina or a special responsibility constituent institution of The University of North Carolina and community colleges. A conforming change is also made to the requirement to adopt rules (G.S. 143-53) and for purchasing in emergencies (G.S. 143-57).

This section became effective July 1, 2020, and applies to contracts entered into on or after that date.
