S105 - 2021 Appropriations Act. (SL 2021-180)

Overview: Section 9D.7 of S.L. 2021-180 requires each local management entity/managed care organization (LME/MCO) to transfer a specified amount through intergovernmental transfer to the Division of Health Benefits (DHB), Department of Health and Human Services. If any county other than Cabarrus County or Union County disengages from an LME/MCO and realigns with another LME/MCO during the 2021-2023 fiscal biennium, then DHB is authorized to reallocate the amount of intergovernmental transfer required by each LME/MCO in consideration of the change in catchment areas and covered populations.

This section became effective July 1, 2021.
