H103 - 2022 Appropriations Act. (SL 2022-74)

Overview: Section 9D.5 of S.L. 2022-74 amends language in Section 6(b) of S.L. 2020-88 pertaining to the notices of termination of Medicaid benefits that will be sent to ineligible beneficiaries after the end of the federal public health emergency. Instead of requiring all notices of termination be sent within 90 days of the end of the federal public health emergency, the amended language requires all Medicaid renewals, post-enrollment verifications, and redeterminations of eligibility to be completed as expeditiously as possible and no later than the twelfth month after the end of the federal public health emergency.

This section became effective July 1, 2022.
