H103 - 2022 Appropriations Act. (SL 2022-74)

Overview: Section 9D.9 of S.L. 2022-74 amends Section 9D.22(f) of S.L. 2021-180, which directed the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Benefits, to develop Medicaid coverage for specified services provided to Medicaid beneficiaries in an acute hospital setting after the beneficiary has been in the care of the hospital for at least 30 hours if the beneficiary is awaiting discharge to a more appropriate setting for the treatment of behavioral health needs. This section changes the implementation date of the Medicaid coverage for the new service from July 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022.

This section became effective July 1, 2022.
