H159 - Education Law Changes. (SL 2022-71)

Overview: Section 3.6 of S.L. 2022-71 clarifies the definition of "eligible disabled veteran" to include veterans who incurred traumatic injuries, wounds, or illness as a member of the Armed Forces while training in preparation for future conflicts if the veteran is receiving compensation of at least 50% as rated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a result of those injuries, wounds, or illness.

This section became effective July 1, 2021, and applies to applications for scholarship awards submitted on or after that date.
