H159 - Education Law Changes. (SL 2022-71)

Overview: Section 2.5 of S.L. 2022-71 provides children of inactive members of the National Guard and military reserves certain intrastate and interstate services related to school transfers if the student's parent is required to move to perform military service-related responsibilities. The required services are similar to those provided to military children under the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children.

This section became effective July 8, 2022, and applies beginning with the 2022-2023 academic school year.
