H259 - 2023 Appropriations Act. (SL 2023-134)

Overview: Section 9E.25 of S.L. 2023-134 increases from $30 to $60 the Medicaid personal needs allowance, which is the amount of income that Medicaid beneficiaries residing in a long-term care setting can retain for their personal needs. The increase in the personal needs allowance begins on the date approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
