H259 - 2023 Appropriations Act. (SL 2023-134)

Overview: Section 27.1 of S.L. 2023-134 directs the North Carolina State Bar Council to adopt rules to provide that full-time employees of the North Carolina General Assembly are exempt from the continuing legal education requirements established by the North Carolina State Bar for any calendar year in which they serve some portion as full-time employees. Until such time that the Bar Council adopts these rules, full-time employees of the North Carolina General Assembly are exempt from the North Carolina State Bar's continuing legal education requirements.

This section became effective October 3, 2023.
