Overview: Section 11.14 of S.L. 2023-134 administratively houses the North Carolina Innovation Council (Council) in the Department of Commerce, authorizes the Council to adopt rules to implement Chapter 169 of the General Statutes, authorizes the Council to appoint a paid Executive Director, and makes technical changes to Chapter 169.

This section of the act became effective July 1, 2023.
