S355 - North Carolina Farm Act of 2024. (SL 2024-32)

Overview: Section 2 of S.L. 2024-32 states explicitly that participation in the trademark program for North Carolina sweetpotatoes, established in 2020, is voluntary. This section also eliminates the North Carolina Sweetpotato Quality and Branding Advisory Council and directs the Board of Agriculture to adopt rules as authorized by the North Carolina Sweetpotato Act in consultation with the North Carolina Sweetpotato Commission.

This section became effective July 3, 2024.
