Overview: Section 5 of S.L. 2026-11 (Senate Bill 401) makes technical changes to Chapter 106 of the General Statutes to conform with a provision enacted in 2023. The technical changes clarify that a person who constructs or operates an animal waste management system must obtain a permit under the Animal Waste Management Systems Part (Part 1A) of Article 21 of Chapter 143 of the General Statutes.
This section became effective June 22, 2026.
