Overview: Section 9E.13 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) directs the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Benefits (DHB), to use $1.5 million in recurring funds to leverage data available through the Government Data Analytics Center (GDAC) for the prevention of Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse. This section requires DHB, in collaboration with the GDAC, to submit a report by November 15, 2026, to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Medicaid and the Fiscal Research Division describing how the funds will be expended.
This section is effective July 1, 2026.
