Overview: Section 39.6 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) modifies the definition of sports wagering in the statute governing Class III gaming on tribal lands to be consistent with the definition of sports wagering in the North Carolina State Lottery Act.
This section became effective July 7, 2026, and applies to wagers placed on or after that date.
