Overview: Section 11.15 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) allows the Utilities Commission to retain private legal counsel to represent or provide litigation services to the Commission in proceedings before federal and State courts and agencies. The approval of the Governor is not required.
This section became effective July 1, 2026.
