S257 - 2026 Appropriations Act. (SL 2026-41)

Overview: Section 16.12 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) revises the reporting date that the North Carolina Sentencing and Policy Advisory Commission must report its projections of available bed space in the Statewide Misdemeanant Confinement Program to March 15 of each year.
This section also repeals Section 12(d) of House Bill 308, which included a previous amendment to that date, if that act becomes law.
This section became effective July 7, 2026, and applies to reports submitted on or after that date.
