Overview: Section 19.4 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) repeals G.S. 143B-903, which required State and county law enforcement officers and many municipal law enforcement officers to report certain data for every traffic stop except for DWI checkpoints and other roadblocks. The Department of Public Safety was required to collect and publish the data annually. This section also makes a conforming change to G.S. 143B-393(a)(9).
This section became effective July 1, 2026.
