Overview: Section 7.57 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257), as amended by Section 3.7 of S.L. 2026-61 (House Bill 268), requires the State Board of Education to adjust the amount of funding provided to local school administrative units, charter schools, the regional school, and laboratory schools for students with disabilities during the fiscal year based on the headcount of students with disabilities enrolled in the public school unit conducted in accordance with federal law.
This section became effective July 1, 2026.
