S508 - 2023 Budget Technical/Other Corrections. (SL 2024-1)

Overview: Section 2.16 of S.L. 2024-1 removes references to "expected family contribution" in the eligibility requirements for a need-based scholarship at an eligible private postsecondary institution and instead requires that students meet the metric for demonstrated need as outlined in Title IV of the federal Higher Education Act of 1965.

This section became effective May 15, 2024, and applies beginning with scholarship awards for the 2024-2025 academic year.
