Overview: Section 3.3 of S.L. 2025-27 (House Bill 576) makes technical and clarifying changes to align the hospital reporting requirements under the Hospital Violence Protection Act, enacted in 2023, with the hospital license renewal application process. Each hospital must report to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Services Regulation on violent acts annually by February 28th for the prior federal fiscal year ending September 30th.

This section of the act became effective on June 27, 2025.
