Overview: Section 4 of S.L. 2025-94 (House Bill 926) prohibits local governments from establishing or requiring pavement design standards for public or private roads that are more stringent than the minimum pavement design standards adopted by the Department of Transportation.

This section becomes effective January 1, 2026, and applies to projects initiated on or after that date.
