Overview: Section 2 of S.L. 2025-47 (Senate Bill 391) provides that, for a licensed dealer, a change in ownership is not grounds for denial, suspension, or revocation of the license. The dealer's business is not required to apply for licensure as a new business, as long as any new owners are qualified and approved by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

This section became effective July 1, 2025.
