Overview: Section 16 of S.L. 2025-47 (Senate Bill 391) amends the cap on public private partnership agreements so the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the Turnpike Authority may enter into up to six agreements, an increase from three agreements, with private entities and authorized political subdivisions to finance transportation infrastructure projects in this State.

This section became effective July 1, 2025.
