Overview: Section 19.5 of S.L. 2025-47 (Senate Bill 391) extends the date by which a vendor must be selected by the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to modernize its IT systems from July 1, 2025, to January 1, 2026. It also requires the DMV, in consultation with the vendor and the Department of Information Technology, to make quarterly status reports. The DMV must update the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee on the status of its vendor selection process by October 1, 2025.  

This section became effective July 1, 2025.
